Kaufman Casts Paul Reubens, Elizabeth Banks & Catherine Keener in 'Frank or Francis'

Described as a musical satire that takes on Hollywood, Charlie Kaufman (Synecdoche, New York) has been casting a whole bunch of actors for his latest film Frank or Francis.  The latest to join are Paul Reubens, Elizabeth Banks and Catherine Keener.  Other actors already signed include Steve Carell, Jack Black, Nicolas Cage and Kevin Kline.

Here’s a quick take on Frank or Francis:

The story centers on a contentious dispute between Frank, an intellectual film director (Carell) and Francis, an online blogger (Black) who still lives with his parents and who delights in attacking the man’s films.

First Photos from Oliver Stone's 'Savages'

Oliver Stone used to make movies with a certain edge to them (i.e. JFK, Platoon, and Natural Born Killers) before he became enthralled with the letter W (i.e. World Trade Center, W, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps) and his movies became bland.  I’m not sure how a letter can have that power, but perhaps whatever strange malaise possessed him will be exorcised when this flick come out. Savages was adapted by Shane Salerno (Shaft) and Don Winslow from Winslow's crime drama novel of the same name.

New Trailer for 'The Hunter' Showcases Man vs Beast

Willem Dafoe's down time from tiger hunting...

Like him or not Willem Dafoe always plays an intense dude in movies and real life.  So it's no surprise his performance in the new thriller The Hunter looks just as brilliant as the subject matter itself.  The Hunter is a classic man vs beast scenario, where a mercenary (Dafoe) is hired by a shady biotech company to take a journey into the treacherous Tasmanian wilderness to eliminate a rare, blood thirsty tiger.

Aronofsky's 'Noah' Starts Shooting in July

Director Darren Aronofsky got his start with the mind-expanding low-budget art film Pi, and hasn't let mainstream success kill his creativity, with other successful artsy films like The Fountain and Black Swan.  He has something just as interesting planned up next with Noah, an epic about the biblical figure.  Aronofsky's been known for dropping projects as of late (he's been attached to both the Robocop remake and Wolverine sequel), but we've learned that the film is shooting in July. Thanks to an Oscar Poker Podcast, we also know more about the plot.

Fearless Forecast: People See 'Grey' At This Weeks Box-Office

Call it Liam Neeson fever but it seems if there's a Liam Neeson film released in January the people will see it.  For the past two or three years Neeson had fought human traffickers, assassins, and now he'll fight wolves...Freaking awesome.  So it's no secret that The Grey will win this weekends box office with about $19.2 million.
